The accounting curriculum prepares students for<br />

positions as accountants, auditors, controllers, income<br />

tax accountants, financial statement analysts, cost<br />

accountants, budget officers, and governmental or<br />

institutional accountants. In addition, it equips the<br />

prospective business executive with a tool for intelligent<br />

analysis, prediction, decision making, and control.<br />

The accounting curriculum also provides excellent<br />

background for the student planning to pursue graduate<br />

work in business administration or law.<br />

Accounting graduates who meet requirements of the State<br />

Board of Certified Accountants of <strong>Indiana</strong> are eligible to<br />

sit for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant’s (CPA)<br />

Examination in <strong>Indiana</strong>. Those who wish to engage in<br />

public accounting practice should familiarize themselves<br />

with the rules and regulations issued by:<br />
