International Business<br />

The international business concentration provides<br />

students with extensive backgrounds in international<br />

business issues such as finance, law, marketing,<br />

accounting, and economics. Students have numerous<br />

curriculum choices so may tailor their degree to<br />

their own area of emphasis. The faculty has designed<br />

the concentration to facilitate students wishing to<br />

double major in an existing business discipline and<br />

in international business. Students who concentrate<br />

in international business are also required to take<br />

international courses outside the school of business to<br />

help them develop an expertise in a particular geographic<br />

area or culture. This major provides business students<br />

with the kind of cultural grounding so significant to<br />

success in global business.<br />

Minor in International Business for<br />

Business Majors<br />

Students pursuing a four-year degree in business may add<br />

a minor in international business as they pursue a major<br />

concentration in one of the functional areas. Students<br />

who elect this program must notify their advisor before<br />

the end of their junior year.<br />
