Outside Minor in Marketing for<br />

Non-Business Majors<br />

Students pursuing a four-year degree in non-business<br />

programs may combine formal study in marketing with<br />

their stated major by concurrently completing an outside<br />

minor in marketing. Students who elect this program<br />

must notify their advisor and the School of Business and<br />

Economics advisor before the end of their junior year.<br />

Students must attain a minimum cumulative grade point<br />

average of 2.0 (C) in all the above courses and not less<br />

than a C in each course. Note that these courses may not<br />

be taken by correspondence study.<br />

Economics<br />

Bachelor of Science in Economics<br />

This 123 credit hour program is designed for the student<br />

who desires to gain an appreciation for how the economic<br />

system functions. The economics degree program provides<br />

an excellent foundation for the student who intends to<br />

work in business, government, or the nonprofit sector and<br />

for the student who wants to pursue graduate-level training<br />

in law, public administration, business administration, or<br />

other professional areas. Students must attain a grade of<br />

not less than a C in any of those courses marked with an<br />

asterisk (*).<br />
