Seaton Urban Study Area<br />

The Seaton Urban Study Area, in conjunction with the<br />

adjacent Open Space System, defines the maximum limit <strong>of</strong><br />

the urban area <strong>of</strong> Seaton. As outlined in Chapter Two, a<br />

planning exercise will establish appropriate land use<br />

designations and policies for Seaton, which will be added by<br />

amendment to this <strong>Plan</strong>.<br />

Until the land use designations and policies are established,<br />

only agricultural and agricultural related uses, conservation,<br />

environmental protection, restoration, passive recreation,<br />

and existing lawful uses may be permissible.<br />

3.13 <strong>City</strong> Council,<br />

(a) shall recognize as the Seaton Urban Study<br />

Area on Schedule I, those lands, along with<br />

the adjacent Open Space System, located<br />

north <strong>of</strong> the South <strong>Pickering</strong> Urban Area<br />

and east <strong>of</strong> the West Duffins Creek, south <strong>of</strong><br />

Highway 7; and<br />

(b) until completion <strong>of</strong> an appropriate planning<br />

exercise for Seaton, may zone lands<br />

designated Seaton Urban Study Area for one<br />

or more purposes as set out in Table 14.<br />
