(iv) allowing land acquisition for transportation,<br />

infrastructure and utilities, but only if the<br />

need for the project has been demonstrated<br />

and there is no reasonable alternative;<br />

(v) the addition <strong>of</strong> adjacent land to an existing<br />

lot, but only if the adjustment does not result<br />

in the creation <strong>of</strong> a lot that is undersized for<br />

the purpose for which it is being or may be<br />

used;<br />

(vi) facilitating conveyances to public bodies or<br />

non-pr<strong>of</strong>it entities for natural heritage<br />

conservation; and<br />

(vii)severances from each other or parts <strong>of</strong> a lot<br />

that are devoted to different uses, but only if<br />

the uses are legally established at the time <strong>of</strong><br />

the application for severance.<br />

15.27 <strong>City</strong> Council, in commenting to the Province<br />

<strong>of</strong> Ontario on applications to amend the<br />

Minister’s Zoning Orders that have been<br />

placed on lands potentially restricted if a future<br />

international airport is developed in <strong>Pickering</strong>,<br />

shall have regard to the following Transport<br />

Canada documentation,<br />

(a) the <strong>of</strong>ficial airport noise contours (Noise<br />

Exposure Forecast zones); and<br />

(b) the guidelines for land use in the vicinity<br />

<strong>of</strong> airports.<br />
