8. That, with reference to Art. 11, Part
I., Navy Order 294/1291, where it becomes
necessary to dispense with a member's services
under this clause, a financial recompense
be granted of one month's pay for
every year or part thereof of period of engagement
not completed, unless services are
dispensed with for disciplinary reasons.
9. That the privilege of medical attendance
be extended to wives and children
under fourteen years of age of members of
the Auxiliary Services, a concession hitherto
obtaining for such members.
10. That a scheme of—
(a) Deferred Pay, or
(b) Gratuity at the rate of one month's
pay for every year of service, or
(c) Superannuation, or
(d) Pension,
be approved for the Auxiliary Services.
11. That in the event of Deferred Pay,
Gratuity, Superannuation, or Pension not
being granted, consideration is asked for the
following :—That the consolidated rates of
pay for the Auxiliary Services be raised 25
per cent.
12. That, observing that many of the
older members will soon be retiring under
the age limit, it is requested that if Deferred
Pay be approved, it be made retrospective,
so as to give a minimum of five (5) years
Deferred Pay to any member retiring.
13. That where a member has previously
served in the R.N. or R.A.N., Sea-going,
every two (2) years' service in the R.A.N.R.
Staff shall count, for the purpose of pay
when serving afloat with the Sea-going
Forces, as one (1) year's seniority in the Seagoing
Forces in the rating held on the
R.A.N.R. Staff.
14. That the Naval Boa rd may be pleased
to grant the following :—Tnat the age limit
for passing for Warrant instructor, as now
applied to the Auxiliary Services (i.e., the
Sea-going Service conditions) be withdrawn,
observing that attention is respectively invited
to Statutory Rule 190/1919, Section
II., Arts. 14 and 15, thus making it impossible
for Instructors now serving to pass this
examination.
15. That the examination for Instructors
of the Auxiliary Services passing for Warrant
rank be that as laid down by " Appendix
A " of Statutory Rule No. 1 of 1921.
16. That no C.P.O. or P.O. Instructor of
the R.A.N.R. Staff shall be promoted to
Warrant rank unless such C.P.O. or P.O.
has served for at least twelve month. 0 on the
R.A.N.R. StaJE.
The question of payment of compensa'
tion in the case of persons discharged, foi
reasons other than disciplinary, is a mattei
of Go% 7 ernment policy.

In the event of the Government approving
of a scheme of superannuation for
the Public Serviee the question of its ap-
, plication to the Auxiliary Services will be
'considered.
In the meanwhile approval of the proposed
increase in consolidated rates of pay
cannot be given.
This request will receive consideration in
the event of Deferred Pay for the Auxiliary
Services being approved.

rank in the Auxiliary Services must pass
the Educational and Seamanship Examination
for Warrant rank, as laid down for the
Sea-going Forces.
The Naval Board are not prepared to lay
down a definite regulation to this effect,
but regard it as most unlikely that any
C.P.O. or P.O. Instructor will in future be
promoted to Warrant rank in the first year
of his service on the R.A.N.R. Staff.
17. That provision be made whereby employees
(General Workmen), Grade IV. to
Grade II., may be eligible for promotion to
Grade I.
18. That, when desired, and provided a
General Workman can pass the necessary
examination and qualifications required,
General Workmen may not be debarred
from passing for P.O. Instructor or Storekeeper.

19. That the privilege be granted to the
Auxiliary Services to take up on repayment
materials or articles, as per list hereunder,
in addition to those already allowed—(a)

20. That each member of the Auxiliary
Services be allowed to nominate a Subdistrict
as his home port, and, although he
may be required to serve in any other Subdistrict,
he shall be transferred, with his
family and effects, back to his home port
on final discharge if he so desires. Such,
however, is not to apply in disciplinary
cases, nor in cases where a member refuses
to re-engage.
Provision will be made that any General
Workmen serving on the R.A.N.R. Staff,
who has held the rating of P.O. or C.P.O: in
the permanent Sea-going Forces, will be
eligible for advancement to General Workman,
Grade I., subject to vacancies existing
in that Grade, and Naval Board approval.

The list of articles of clothing, &c, which
may be taken up on repayment by members
of the Auxiliary Services is now under
review.JJAmendments to this, list will
shortly be promulgated by Navy Order.

that no^member will be permitted to

except with the approval of the Naval
Board.
