2. The marks obtained by candidates in subjects in which they did not<br />
pass are not shown above. Should any candidate desire to be informed of<br />
these marks, he should make application to the Commanding Officer of the<br />
Ship or Establishment in which he is now serving, who has been supplied<br />
with a statement of the full results obtained by each candidate at the<br />
Examinations. Notations as regards the award of Higher Educational<br />
Certificates and " Qualified Educationally for Warrant Rank " (Q.W.R.)<br />
should be made on the Service Certificates of the ratings concerned.<br />

DEFERMENT OP RETURN PASSAGE TO UNITED KINGDOM-<br />
APPLICATIONS TO BE MADE.<br />
Officers and Men desirous of deferring their passages to United Kingdom<br />
under the terms of <strong>Navy</strong> Order No. 94 of 1921 should, prior to ceasing duty<br />
make application accordingly. Such applications are to be forwarded into<br />
office for notation and approval.<br />

Depth charge practice is to be carried out in water of not less than 500<br />

AMENDMENTS TO THE REGULATIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR<br />
THE ROTAL AUSTRALIAN NAVAL RESERVE 1922.<br />
The following amendments to the Regulations and Instructions for the<br />
<strong>Royal</strong> <strong>Australian</strong> Naval Reserve 1922 are approved :—<br />
(a) Article 308, Clause 1—<br />
In the fifth line delete the words " Naval Board in regard to<br />
their disposal " and insert the words " District Naval Officer ".<br />
{b) Article 308, Clause 1—<br />
In the sixth line, after the word " Article ", insert the following<br />
sentence :—<br />
" When sufficient unservicable stores (excepting those<br />
referred to in Clause 5) have accumulated to justify disposal<br />
of such stores by return to Store Establishments or by<br />
public auction or tender, a list of such stores showing<br />
recommendations as to disposal, and supported by original<br />
Reports of Survey, is to be forwarded to the Naval Board<br />
for directions."<br />

ELECTRIC BELLS AND FITTINGS-H.M.A. NAVAL ESTABLISHMENTS.<br />
Tie Naval Works Department will cease to be responsible, as from 1st<br />
January, 1923, for the installation, care, and maintenance of electric bells and<br />
fittings in H.M.A. Naval Establishments. The responsibility will rest with<br />
the Electrical Branch of H.M.A. Dockyards and Establishments as from that<br />
date.<br />
2. The work referred to is, in ordinary circumstances, to be carried out<br />
by the Dockyard workmen in the case of Sydney Establishments and by the<br />
Torpedo ratings in the case of Flinders Naval Depot. At Naval Establishments,<br />
where Naval Service ratings or workmen are not available for this<br />
work, the District Naval Officers should requisition on the local Works<br />
Director of the Department of Works and Railways.<br />
3. No alterations or additions to existing bell circuits, &c, are to be made<br />
without the approval of the Naval Board. Requisitions for additions and<br />
alterations are to be forwarded with a diagram indicating the requirements<br />
and an estimate of cost stating if funds are available to meet the requirements.<br />
