NOTES.—-(1) Royal Navy Active Service ratings on loan may wear a
Blue Cloth Suit in lieu of the Diagonal Serge Suit.
(2) Stiff white linen collars may be either polo pattern or ordinary double
collar, height 1^ to 2 inches.
(3) The maintenance of all necessary badges, including substantive, nonsubstantive,
and good conduct badges is compulsory.
(4) The numbers of the articles stated may be exceeded when of the
authorized pattern, if they can be conveniently stowed.

Article 80B.—Reduced Kit for Recovered Deserters.—In the event
of the former kit of recovered deserters having been disposed of,
the following reduced kit is to be issued on repayment, the balance
of the authorized kit being supplied as circumstances permit.
