AMENDMENTS OF REGULATIONS—PROCEDURE.
In the past it has been the practice to promulgate in Navy Orders any
amendment of the regulations which has received Departmental approval,
and later to cover the amendment by Statutory Rule. This procedure is
now discontinued, and in the future the first intimation of an amendment of
the regulations will be the Statutory Rule effecting same. When the
Statutory Rule has been gazetted the various amendments which have been
approved will be promulgated for general information in Navy Orders.
2. The first Navy Order of this nature is No. 276 of this week's issue.
