EXAMINATION FOR RANK OF PAYMASTER LIEUTENANT-
COMMANDER.
An examination for the rank of Paymaster Lieutenant-Commander in
the Royal Australian Navy will be held in the latter half of March, 1923,
after the return of the Fleet to Sydney. The names of Officers desirous of
sitting for this examination should be reported to Navy Office not later than
1st March, 1923.

PROMOTION OF WARRANT OFFICERS TO COMMISSIONED
OFFICER FROM WARRANT RANK.
With reference to Navy Order No. 283 of 1921, it has been decided to
cancel the qualifications for promotion of Warrant Officers, R.A.N., to
Commissioned Officer from Warrant Rank, referred to in paragraph 2 of' the
Navy Order quoted.
2. It has been decided that, until further notice, Warrant Officers, R.A.N.,
will be eligible for consideration for promotion to Commissioned Officer from
Warrant Rank on attaining the seniority mentioned below, provided that they
have reached the age of 35 years, and are recommended by their Commanding
Officers for promotion :—

3. It is not the intention of the Naval Board that the Sea Service qualification,

HIGHER EDUCATIONAL TEST EXAMINATION, OCTOBER,
1922—RESULTS.
The results obtained by R.A.N, candidates in subjects taken by them at
the Higher Educational Test Examination held between 16th October and
20th October, 1922, inclusive, are promulgated hereunder for information.
Included in these results are the Pass marks obtained by each candidate at
previous Examination, where such marks are higher than those obtained at
the October, 1922, Examination.
