Concentration of Electronic Commerce Certificate Program<br />

Electronic Commerce is a concentration under the title of Business<br />

Administration. This curriculum is designed <strong>to</strong> prepare individuals for a<br />

career in the Internet economy.<br />

Course work includes <strong>to</strong>pics related <strong>to</strong> electronic business, Internet strategy<br />

in business, and basic business principles in the world of E-Commerce.<br />

Students will be able <strong>to</strong> demonstrate the ability <strong>to</strong> identify and analyze such<br />

functional issues as planning, technical systems, marketing, security,<br />

finance, law, design, implementation, assessment and policy issues at an<br />

entry level.<br />

This program is well suited for those entrepreneurs/business owners who<br />

want a Web presence for their business because it shows students how <strong>to</strong><br />

conduct it all through the Web.<br />

Because the use of computers is integral <strong>to</strong> this curriculum, some courses<br />

are delivered in an online format.<br />

Special Program Requirements<br />

Students must have credit for ENG-085 Reading & Writing Foundations and<br />

have successfully completed CIS-110 Introduction <strong>to</strong> Computers or CIS-111<br />

Basic PC Literacy.<br />

Civil Engineering Technology<br />

The Civil Engineering Technology Curriculum provides the application of<br />

relevant theory of engineering needed by technicians <strong>to</strong> carry out planning<br />

and supervisory tasks in the construction of transportation systems,<br />

residential and commercial buildings, bridges, dams, and water and<br />

wastewater treatment systems.
