This course introduces basic camera operations and pho<strong>to</strong>graphic production. Topics<br />

include subject composition, depth of field, shutter control, light control, color,<br />

pho<strong>to</strong>-finishing, and digital imaging, correction and output. Upon completion,<br />

students should be able <strong>to</strong> produce traditional and/or digital pho<strong>to</strong>graphic prints with<br />

GRD-175 3-D Animation Design 3 (1-4) AND<br />

Prerequisites: GRA-151 or GRD-151<br />

This course explores three-dimensional animation design and production. Emphasis<br />

is placed on developing essential skills and techniques using three-dimensional<br />

animation software from conceptualization <strong>to</strong> completion including design,<br />

illustration, color, spatial depth, and movement. Upon completion, students should be<br />

able <strong>to</strong> produce animation sequences for computer-related presentations. (1997 SU)<br />

This course covers preparation of digital files for output and reproduction. Emphasis<br />

is placed on output options, separations, color proofing, and cost and design<br />

considerations. Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> prepare files and select<br />

This course covers the psychological, social, and physical aspects of aging. Emphasis<br />

is placed on the fac<strong>to</strong>rs that promote mental and physical well-being. Upon<br />

completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> recognize the aging process and its<br />

This course introduces the basics of emergency first aid treatment. Topics include<br />

rescue breathing, CPR, first aid for choking and bleeding, and other first aid<br />

procedures. Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> demonstrate skills in<br />

providing emergency care for the sick and injured until medical help can be obtained.<br />

This course has been approved for transfer under the Comprehensive Articulation<br />

Agreement as a premajor and/or elective course requirement for the A.A., A.F.A.,<br />
