FRE-211 Intermediate French I 3 (3-0) AND<br />

Prerequisites: FRE-112<br />

Corequisites: FRE-281<br />

This course provides a review and expansion of the essential skills of the French<br />

language. Emphasis is placed on the study of authentic and representative literary and<br />

cultural texts. Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> communicate effectively,<br />

accurately, and creatively about the past, present, and future. This course has been<br />

approved for transfer under the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement as a general<br />

education course in Humanities/Fine Arts for the A.A., A.F.A., and A.S. degrees. This<br />

course also satisfies the general education course requirement in Humanities/Fine<br />

Arts for the A.A.S. and A.G.E. degrees. (1997 SU)<br />

FRE-212 Intermediate French II 3 (3-0) AND<br />

Prerequisites: FRE-211<br />

Corequisites: FRE-282<br />

This course is a continuation of FRE-211. Emphasis is placed on the continuing study<br />

of authentic and representative literary and cultural texts. Upon completion, students<br />

should be able <strong>to</strong> communicate spontaneously and accurately with increasing<br />

complexity and sophistication. This course has been approved for transfer under the<br />

Comprehensive Articulation Agreement as a general education course in<br />

Humanities/Fine Arts for the A.A., A.F.A., and A.S. degrees. This course also satisfies<br />

the general education course requirement in Humanities/Fine Arts for the A.A.S. and<br />

and representative literary and cultural texts through the use of supplementary<br />

learning media and materials. Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong><br />

communicate effectively, accurately, and creatively about the past, present, and<br />

future. This course has been approved <strong>to</strong> satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation<br />

Agreement for transferability as a premajor and/or elective course requirement for<br />
