This course introduces the concepts and <strong>to</strong>ols <strong>to</strong> implement electronic commerce via<br />

the Internet. Topics include application and server software selection, securing<br />

transactions, use and verification of credit cards, publishing of catalogs, and site<br />

administration. Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> setup a working e-<br />

This course builds on currently accepted business practices <strong>to</strong> develop a business plan<br />

and implementation model for e-commerce. Topics include analysis and synthesis of<br />

the planning cycle, cost/benefit analysis, technical systems, marketing, security,<br />

financial support, Internet strategies, website design, cus<strong>to</strong>mer support and feedback<br />

and assessment. Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> develop a plan for e-<br />

commerce in a small <strong>to</strong> medium size business. This course is a unique concentration<br />

requirement of the E-Commerce concentration in the Business Administration<br />

This course introduces basic concepts of micro- and macroeconomics. Topics include<br />

supply and demand, optimizing economic behavior, prices and wages, money,<br />

interest rates, banking system, unemployment, inflation, taxes, government spending,<br />

and international trade. Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> explain<br />

alternative solutions for economic problems faced by private and government sec<strong>to</strong>rs.<br />

This course has been approved for transfer under the Comprehensive Articulation<br />

Agreement as a general education course in Social/Behavioral Sciences for the A.A.,<br />

A.F.A., and A.S. degrees. This course also satisfies the general education course<br />

choices in the market economy. Topics include the price mechanism, supply and<br />

demand, optimizing economic behavior, costs and revenue, market structures, fac<strong>to</strong>r<br />

markets, income distribution, market failure, and government intervention. Upon<br />

completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> identify and evaluate consumer and business<br />

alternatives in order <strong>to</strong> efficiently achieve economic objectives. This course has been<br />

approved for transfer under the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement as a general<br />

education course in Social/Behavioral Sciences for the A.A., A.F.A., and A.S.<br />

degrees. This course also satisfies the general education course requirement in<br />
