This course provides the knowledge and skills <strong>to</strong> perform and score<br />

polysomnographic procedures on infants and pediatric patients. Emphasis is placed<br />

on infant/pediatric assessment, moni<strong>to</strong>ring, and sleep disorders. Upon completion,<br />

students should be able <strong>to</strong> demonstrate competence in concepts through written and<br />

This course provides an opportunity <strong>to</strong> review clinical cases and prepare for the<br />

polysomnography credentialing exam. Emphasis is placed on case management and<br />

review for the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist Exam. Upon completion,<br />

and professional development. Emphasis is placed on personality traits,<br />

communication/leadership styles, effective problem solving, and cultural diversity as<br />

they apply <strong>to</strong> personal and work environments. Upon completion, students should be<br />

able <strong>to</strong> demonstrate an understanding of these principles of psychology as they apply<br />

<strong>to</strong> personal and professional development. This course satisfies the general education<br />

course requirement in Social/Behavioral Sciences for the A.A.S. and A.G.E. degrees<br />
