This course is designed <strong>to</strong> build on concepts developed in DME-120 and teaches<br />

students <strong>to</strong> apply cus<strong>to</strong>m programming <strong>to</strong> develop advanced applications and<br />

components. Emphasis is placed on scripting language functionalities associated with<br />

a variety of software packages. Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> produce<br />

advanced, high-quality interactive multimedia applications. (2004 FA)<br />

DME-260 Emerging Technologies in Digital Media 3 (2-2) AND<br />

Prerequisites: DME-120, DME-130<br />

This course provides students with the latest technologies and strategies in the field<br />

of digital media. Emphasis is placed on the evaluation of emerging digital media<br />

technologies and presenting those findings <strong>to</strong> the class. Upon completion, students<br />

should be able <strong>to</strong> critically analyze emerging digital media technologies and establish<br />

informed opinions. (2004 FA)<br />

DME-270 Professional Practice in Digital Media 3 (2-2) AND<br />

Prerequisites: DME-120, DME-130<br />

Corequisites: None<br />

This course introduces students <strong>to</strong> business skills needed <strong>to</strong> succeed in the digital<br />

media workplace. Topics include portfolio development, resume design, and<br />

preparation of media contacts. Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> prepare<br />

themselves and their work for a career in the digital media workplace. (2004 FA)<br />

DME-285 Systems Projects 3 (2-2) S<br />

Prerequisites: DME-120, DME-130, GRA-250, WEB-210<br />

Corequisites: None<br />

This course provides an opportunity <strong>to</strong> complete a significant digital media project<br />

from the design phase through implementation with minimal instruc<strong>to</strong>r support.<br />

Emphasis is placed on project definition, testing, presentation, and implementation.<br />

Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> complete, maintain and implement a<br />

digital media project. (2004 FA)<br />

DRA Drama<br />

DRA-111 Theatre Appreciation 3 (3-0) AND<br />

Prerequisites: None<br />

Corequisites: None<br />

This course provides a study of the art, craft, and business of the theatre. Emphasis is<br />

placed on the audience's appreciation of the work of the playwright, direc<strong>to</strong>r, ac<strong>to</strong>r,<br />

designer, producer, and critic. Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong><br />

demonstrate a vocabulary of theatre terms and <strong>to</strong> recognize the contributions of<br />

various theatre artists. This course has been approved for transfer under the<br />

Comprehensive Articulation Agreement as a general education course in<br />

Humanities/Fine Arts for the A.A., A.F.A., and A.S. degrees. This course also satisfies<br />

the general education course requirement in Humanities/Fine Arts for the A.A.S. and<br />
