This course introduces content development for mobile electronic devices with a<br />

focus on business-related, social media, and entertainment applications. Emphasis is<br />

placed on developing web content and creating applications for mobile devices,<br />

including internet/business practices and techniques for delivery on mobile platforms.<br />

Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> develop web content and business or<br />

entertainment applications for use on mobile electronic devices. (2012 SP)<br />

WEB-210 Web Design 3 (2-2) F<br />

Prerequisites: WEB-111 and WEB-115<br />

This course introduces intermediate <strong>to</strong> advanced Web design techniques. Topics<br />

include cus<strong>to</strong>mer expectations, advanced markup language, multimedia technologies,<br />

usability and accessibility practices, and techniques for the evaluation of Web design.<br />

Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> employ advanced design techniques <strong>to</strong><br />

WEB-211 Advanced Web Graphics 3 (2-2) AND<br />

This course covers the advanced concepts related <strong>to</strong> the creation and manipulation of<br />

graphic images for Web delivery. Topics include graphics acquisition, use of masks<br />

and channels, advanced special effects, advanced pho<strong>to</strong> manipulation, and other<br />

related <strong>to</strong>pics. Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> create, manipulate, and<br />

optimize Web graphics with advanced techniques and maintain an online coursework<br />

WEB-215 Advanced Markup and Scripting 3 (2-2) AND<br />

This course covers advanced programming skills required <strong>to</strong> design Internet<br />

applications. Emphasis is placed on programming techniques required <strong>to</strong> support<br />

Internet applications. Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> design, code,<br />

debug, and document Internet-based programming solutions <strong>to</strong> various real-world<br />

problems using an appropriate programming language. (2008 FA)<br />

WEB-225 Content Management Sys 3 (2-2) AND<br />

Prerequisites: WEB-110, WEB-115<br />

This course introduces students <strong>to</strong> Content Management Systems (CMS) designed for<br />

the publication of Web content <strong>to</strong> Web sites. Topics include individual user accounts,<br />

administration menus, RSS-feeds, cus<strong>to</strong>mizable layout, flexible account privileges,<br />

logging, blogging systems, creating online forums, and modules. Upon completion,<br />

students should be able <strong>to</strong> register and maintain individual user accounts and create a<br />
