DRA-126 S<strong>to</strong>rytelling 3 (3-0) AND<br />

Prerequisites: None<br />

Corequisites: None<br />

This course introduces the art of s<strong>to</strong>rytelling and the oral traditions of folk literature.<br />

Topics include the his<strong>to</strong>ry of s<strong>to</strong>rytelling, its value and purpose, techniques of the<br />

s<strong>to</strong>ryteller, and methods of collecting verbal art. Upon completion, students should be<br />

able <strong>to</strong> present and discuss critically s<strong>to</strong>ries from the world's reper<strong>to</strong>ry of traditional<br />

lore. This course has been approved for transfer under the Comprehensive<br />

Articulation Agreement as a general education course in Humanities/Fine Arts for<br />

the A.A., A.F.A., and A.S. degrees. This course also satisfies the general education<br />

course requirement in Humanities/Fine Arts for the A.A.S. and A.G.E. degrees. (1997<br />

This course provides an applied study of the ac<strong>to</strong>r's craft. Topics include role<br />

analysis, training the voice, and body concentration, discipline, and self-evaluation.<br />

Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> explore their creativity in an acting<br />

ensemble. This course has been approved for transfer under the Comprehensive<br />

Articulation Agreement as a premajor and/or elective course requirement for the<br />

A.A., A.F.A., and A.S. degrees. (1997 SU)<br />

This course provides additional hands-on practice in the ac<strong>to</strong>r's craft. Emphasis is<br />

placed on further analysis, characterization, growth, and training for acting<br />

competence. Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> explore their creativity in<br />

an acting ensemble. This course has been approved for transfer under the<br />

Comprehensive Articulation Agreement as a premajor and/or elective course<br />

requirement for the A.A., A.F.A., and A.S. degrees. (1997 SU)<br />

ECM Electronic Business<br />

ECM-168 Electronic Business 3 (2-2) F<br />

This course provides a survey of the world of electronic business. Topics include the<br />

definition of electronic business, current practices as they evolve using Internet<br />

strategy in business, and application of basic business principles <strong>to</strong> the world of e-<br />

commerce. Upon completion, students should be able <strong>to</strong> define electronic business<br />

and demonstrate an understanding of the benefits of e-commerce as a foundation for<br />

developing plans leading <strong>to</strong> electronic business implementation. This course is a<br />

unique concentration requirement of the E-Commerce concentration in the Business<br />
