The action is intrinsically agonistic, since it is always a confrontation that searches for
itself in the other (e.g. the opponent) but it is, at same time harmonious, since no action is
lost and all of them come together to make up the whole of the game being played. The
meaning lies in the result, i.e. in the shape of the actions (e.g. the moves) as considered from
an endpoint that is nothing but the realization of the beginning. The game itself, in fact, is
this movement, this continuous going back-and-fro within the enclosed space delimited by
the rules of the game. The game is, or rather has as its basic characteristic the freedom of
movement, the lightness that permeates the players while they are carried by the game and
fully absorbed by it.
