Our inventory of facilities is an important tool in planning and managing <strong>College</strong> campuses.<br />

This information is essential for: developing the annual five-year capital construction plan<br />

(III.B.2); projecting future required facilities; developing deferred maintenance budgets; and<br />

analyzing space utilization. Space inventory (III.B.17) enables an institution to identify the<br />

types of space it needs and/or the amount of surplus space it has available. The analysis of<br />

space forms the core for facilities planning.<br />

Physical resource planning is integrated with institutional planning. The institution<br />

systematically assesses the effective use of physical resources and uses the results of the<br />

evaluation as the basis for improvement.<br />

Descriptive Summary<br />

The college continuously evaluates plans, goals, objectives and student needs with the<br />

assistance of shared governance for short and long term planning and decision making which<br />

will lead to an efficient, comprehensive and enduring institution.<br />

<strong>Hartnell</strong> <strong>College</strong> has incorporated the Mission and Vision Statements, shared governance<br />

committees and campus priorities to facilitate the organizational goals of the institution.<br />
