It can also pose a big problem in terms<strong>of</strong> elite capture, where their ability to involve in the most pr<strong>of</strong>itable incomegenerating activities also can be a result <strong>of</strong> REDD, leaving little compensation left forthe remaining community. The least poor also are more involved in the communitiesand in general seem to have closer links to the Village Governments. In addition, thepoorest <strong>of</strong>ten have enough with covering their day to day needs and are not asinvolved in community activities.
