Route 28 includes many of <strong>Cape</strong> <strong>Cod</strong>’s highest crash locations. Basedon data from 2006-2008, Route 28’s most dense areas of concern are in Buzzards Bay,downtown Falmouth, and from Yarmouth Road in Hyannis to the Harwich town line.Since January 2007, there have been nine fatal crashes on Route 28. Fatal crashes wereconcentrated on MacArthur Boulevard in Bourne and in Barnstable between theCenterville Mall and the Airport Rotary.
