It is here that the secondsegment of the <strong>Cape</strong> <strong>Cod</strong> Line continues, following the <strong>Cape</strong> <strong>Cod</strong> Canal and then runningalongside Route 6A through Sandwich and Barnstable. Out of service side tracks andformer stations can be seen in West Barnstable. Only a platform remains in SandwichStation, located off of Jarves Street. West Barnstable Station, located on Route 149 inBarnstable, has been preserved even though it is no longer in use. The <strong>Cape</strong> <strong>Cod</strong> Linecontinues to the Yarmouth wye at Willow Street in Yarmouth. Here, the Hyannis Branchturns south, while the <strong>Cape</strong> <strong>Cod</strong> Line continues to the east. An out of service anddisconnected segment of track sits to the north of the main line and stretches several<strong>Cape</strong> <strong>Cod</strong> <strong>Regional</strong> <strong>Transportation</strong> <strong>Plan</strong> | August 2011Chapter 2.4: RailPage 169
