At most traffic counting locations, year-round average daily traffic is estimated usingMassDOT Adjustment Factors in combination with summer traffic counts. Theseadjustment factors are calculated based on continuous traffic counts from MassDOTpermanent counters. The <strong>Cape</strong> <strong>Cod</strong> MPO has advocated for an expansion of permanentcounting stations into more areas of <strong>Cape</strong> <strong>Cod</strong> in several editions of the RTP.The following figure shows year-round average daily traffic volumes on major <strong>Cape</strong> <strong>Cod</strong>roads.
