8.6 RECOMMENDATIONS WITHIN AVAILABLE RESOURCESThe Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) programs and projects were derived from theanalysis, outreach, and evaluation process, and resulted in the RTP alternatives list.With receipt of the estimated financial resources for the RTP, staff began the process ofaligning the expected available revenues, as shown in Table 1, to the RTP highestpriorities. The result of this process, proposed Major Infrastructure and RegionalDiscretionary category funds allocations, are shown in Table 3 on the following page.Each RTP project has an cost estimate for implementation in the current (FY 2012) year .Of course, resources are only expected to be available over the life of the RTP on anannual basis. Therefore, costs for each project in the Year of Expenditure have beenincreased by four percent per year.
