Oe—0 to 1 inch; moderately decomposed hardwood leaf litter.<br />

A—1 to 3 inches; dark brown (10YR 3/3) very channery loam; weak fine granular<br />

structure; very friable; many fine roots; 40 percent siltstone channers; extremely<br />

acid; abrupt smooth boundary.<br />

BA—3 to 7 inches; yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) very channery loam; weak fine and<br />

medium subangular blocky structure; friable; common fine and very fine roots;<br />
