A—2 to 5 inches; brown (10YR 4/3) loam; weak fine granular structure; very friable;<br />

many fine and medium roots; 12 percent sandstone channers; very strongly acid;<br />

clear smooth boundary.<br />

BA—5 to 11 inches; yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) channery loam; weak medium<br />

subangular blocky structure; friable; many fine and medium and few coarse roots;<br />

25 percent sandstone and siltstone channers; strongly acid; gradual smooth<br />

boundary.<br />

Bw1—11 to 33 inches; yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) very channery loam; moderate<br />

medium subangular blocky structure; friable; common fine and medium roots;<br />

40 percent sandstone and siltstone channers; very strongly acid; gradual smooth<br />

boundary.<br />

Bw2—33 to 50 inches; yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) very channery loam; moderate<br />

medium subangular blocky structure; friable; few fine roots; 50 percent sandstone<br />

and siltstone channers; very strongly acid; gradual smooth boundary.<br />

C—50 to 65 inches; yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) extremely channery fine sandy loam;<br />

few fine distinct strong brown (7.5YR 5/6) lithochromic mottles; massive; very<br />

friable; 60 percent sandstone channers; very strongly acid.<br />
