0.4 mile west <strong>of</strong> the confluence <strong>of</strong> Turkey Creek and the <strong>West</strong> Fork <strong>of</strong> Twelvepole<br />

Creek, about 1.0 mile southeast <strong>of</strong> the confluence <strong>of</strong> Spruce Fork and Right<br />

Fork, and 140 yards west and downslope from the Beech Ridge Trail; <strong>US</strong>GS<br />

Wilsondale topographic quadrangle; lat. 37 degrees 57 minutes 20 seconds N. and<br />

long. 82 degrees 20 minutes 48 seconds W.<br />

Oi—0 to 1 inch; slightly decomposed leaf litter.<br />

A1—1 to 7 inches; very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2) channery loam, dark grayish<br />

brown (10YR 4/2) dry; moderate fine and very fine granular structure; very friable;<br />

many fine and medium roots; 20 percent sandstone channers; slightly acid;<br />

abrupt wavy boundary.<br />

A2—7 to 14 inches; dark brown (10YR 3/3) channery loam, grayish brown (10YR 5/2)<br />

dry; weak medium and coarse granular structure; very friable; many fine and<br />

medium roots; 20 percent sandstone channers; slightly acid; clear wavy<br />

boundary.<br />

BA—14 to 22 inches; brown (10YR 4/3) channery loam; weak medium subangular<br />

blocky structure parting to weak medium and coarse granular; friable; many<br />

medium roots; 25 percent sandstone channers; moderately acid; gradual wavy<br />

boundary.<br />

Bw1—22 to 31 inches; dark yellowish brown (10YR 4/4) very channery loam; weak<br />

medium subangular blocky structure; friable; many medium and coarse roots; few<br />

moderately acid; gradual wavy boundary.<br />

Bw2—31 to 54 inches; yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) very channery loam; weak<br />

medium and coarse subangular blocky structure; friable; common medium roots;<br />
