neutral; abrupt wavy boundary.<br />

BA—8 to 15 inches; dark yellowish brown (10YR 4/4) loam; weak fine subangular<br />

blocky structure; friable; common fine roots; 10 percent sandstone, siltstone, and<br />

shale gravel; moderately acid; clear wavy boundary.<br />

Bw1—15 to 24 inches; brown (7.5YR 4/4) gravelly loam; weak medium subangular<br />

blocky structure; friable; common fine roots; 25 percent sandstone, siltstone, and<br />

shale gravel; slightly acid; clear wavy boundary.<br />

Bw2—24 to 30 inches; brown (7.5YR 4/4) gravelly fine sandy loam; weak medium<br />

subangular blocky structure; friable; few fine roots; few fine and medium<br />

irregular boundary.<br />

C2—40 to 65 inches; brown (10YR 5/3) very gravelly loam; massive; friable; common<br />

fine and medium prominent strong brown (7.5YR 5/8) redox concentrations;<br />

common fine black (N 2.5/) concretions <strong>of</strong> manganese; 50 percent sandstone,<br />

siltstone, and shale gravel; slightly acid; abrupt irregular boundary.<br />
