Oi—0 to 3 inches; slightly decomposed leaf litter.<br />

Oe—3 to 4 inches; very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2), moderately decomposed<br />

organic material.<br />

A—4 to 7 inches; brown (10YR 4/3) silt loam; moderate medium granular structure;<br />

very friable; many fine and very fine roots; 5 percent sandstone and shale<br />

channers; strongly acid; abrupt wavy boundary.<br />

BA—7 to 14 inches; yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) silty clay loam; weak medium<br />

subangular blocky structure; friable; many fine and medium roots;<br />
