2 REQUIRE treatment. If accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate with the additional declaration, “Meets the provisions of<br />

7CFR 319.56” then waive treatment.<br />

3 Inspect plantains, cooking bananas, <strong>and</strong> bananas which differ from the usual bananas of commerce for internal feeders (fruit<br />

flies).<br />

4 Break bulk only. Grapes may be off-loaded following cold treatment <strong>and</strong> fumigation in Puerto Rico. HOLD consignment <strong>and</strong><br />

CONTACT PPQ through proper channels.<br />

5 If cold treatment has not been completed before entry, HOLD the consignment <strong>and</strong> CONTACT PPQ through proper channels.<br />

Untreated fruits or vegetables may arrive in the U.S. only:<br />

At ports located north of 39 latitude <strong>and</strong> east of 104 longitude<br />

At ports that have approved cold treatment facilities (refer to the PPQ Treatment <strong>Manual</strong> for a list of current approved cold<br />

treatment facilities)<br />

6 Pineapples are PROHIBITED ENTRY into Hawaii.<br />

7 Because treatment is required, HOLD consignment <strong>and</strong> CONTACT PPQ through proper channels.<br />
