<strong>Manual</strong> Updates<br />

The PPQ <strong>Manual</strong>s Unit issues <strong>and</strong> maintains manuals electronically on the<br />

<strong>Manual</strong>s Unit Web site. The on-line manuals contain the most up-to-date<br />

information. <strong>Import</strong> requirements for fruits <strong>and</strong> vegetables are also available in<br />

the <strong>Fruits</strong> <strong>and</strong> Vegetable <strong>Import</strong> Requirements database (FAVIR). When<br />

possible, use FAVIR to make regulatory decisions on imported fresh fruits <strong>and</strong><br />

vegetables.<br />

Immediate update revisions to the manual <strong>and</strong> FAVIR are issued <strong>and</strong><br />

distributed via e-mail to CBP Agriculture Specialists <strong>and</strong> all PPQ employees.<br />

Each immediate update contains the following information:<br />

Link to access <strong>and</strong> download the on-line manual<br />

List of the revised page numbers<br />

Purpose of the revision(s)<br />

Transmittal number<br />
