List of Approved <strong>Fruits</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Vegetables</strong><br />

7 Consignments of tomatoes from provinces OTHER THAN El Jadida <strong>and</strong> Safi Provinces <strong>and</strong> Souss-Massa-Draa require<br />

an import permit <strong>and</strong> are subject to a port of entry inspection. Consignments must be accompanied by a <strong>Phytosanitary</strong><br />

Certificate (PC) with an Additional Declaration (AD) stating EITHER of the following:<br />

"Tomato fruit in this consignment originate from a pest-free area that meets the requirements of 7CFR 319.56-5, <strong>and</strong> are free<br />

of Tuta absoluta."<br />

OR<br />

"Tomato fruit in this consignment have been produced in accordance with an APHIS approved systems approach, <strong>and</strong> have<br />

been visually inspected <strong>and</strong> are free of Tuta absoluta." (See Federal Order #DA-2010-15,)<br />

Tomatoes must arrive at the U.S. port of entry in insect proof cartons or cartons covered with an insect proof tarpaulin.<br />

For detailed inspection guidelines, refer to the Inspection Aid for Tuta absoluta in FAVIR.<br />

8 Because treatment is required, HOLD consignment <strong>and</strong> CONTACT PPQ through proper channels.<br />

9 For ethrogs, see the special procedures for Ethrogs from Medfly Infested Countries Entering NA <strong>and</strong> NP Ports.<br />

10 Consignments of tomatoes from El Jadida <strong>and</strong> Safi Provinces require an import permit <strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> are subject to a port of entry<br />

Tomatoes must arrive at the U.S. port of entry in insect proof cartons or cartons covered with an insect proof tarpaulin.<br />

Pink <strong>and</strong> red tomatoes may be shipped between December 1 through April 30, inclusive. Any tomatoes shipped outside the<br />

growing season are to be REFUSED ENTRY.<br />

11 Consignments of tomatoes from Souss-Massa-Draa require an import permit <strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> are subject to a port of entry inspection.<br />

Consignments must be accompanied by a <strong>Phytosanitary</strong> Certificate (PC) with an Additional Declaration (AD) stating EITHER<br />

of the following:<br />

"Tomato fruit in this consignment originate from a pest-free area that meets the requirements of 7CFR 319.56-5, <strong>and</strong> are free<br />

of Tuta absoluta."<br />

OR<br />

"Tomato fruit in this consignment have been produced in accordance with an APHIS approved systems approach, <strong>and</strong> have<br />

been visually inspected <strong>and</strong> are free of Tuta absoluta." (See Federal Order #DA-2010-15.)<br />

<br />

AND<br />

"These tomatoes were grown in registered pest-exclusionary structures in Souss-Massa-Draa, Morocco, <strong>and</strong> were pink at the<br />

time of packing.”<br />

Tomatoes must arrive at the U.S. port of entry in insect proof cartons or containers, or covered by an insect proof mesh or<br />

plastic tarpaulin.<br />

Pink tomatoes may be shipped between December 1 through April 30, inclusive. Any tomatoes shipped outside the growing<br />

season are to be REFUSED ENTRY.<br />
