1 Banana consignments must be accompanied by a <strong>Phytosanitary</strong> Certificate (PC) with an Additional Declaration (AD) stating<br />

either of the following:<br />

"The bananas in this consignment originate from an area recognized as free of Bactrocera invadens."<br />

OR<br />

"The bananas in this consignment have been produced in accordance with an APHIS approved systems approach <strong>and</strong> have<br />

been inspected <strong>and</strong> found free of all life stages of Bactrocera invadens."<br />

2 <strong>Fruits</strong> must be precleared <strong>and</strong> pretreated (Irradiated) with T105-a-2 in Ghana. The Preclearance Form 203 confirming<br />

irradiation must be presented at the time of entry. CAUTION: Currently there is no preclearance program in Ghana.<br />

3 Consignments of eggplant must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate from Ghana's national plant protection<br />

organization with two additional declarations stating that:<br />

“The fruit received irradiation treatment with 400 Gy as the minimum absorbed dose.”<br />

“The fruit in this consignment was inspected <strong>and</strong> found free of Eutetranychus orientalis.”<br />

4 Consignments of fruit must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate from Ghana's national plant protection organization<br />

with an additional declaration stating that: “The fruit received irradiation treatment with 400 Gy as the minimum absorbed<br />

5 Pineapples are PROHIBITED ENTRY into Hawaii.<br />
