List of Approved Fruits and Vegetables
1 Banana consignments must be accompanied by a Phytosanitary Certificate (PC) with an Additional Declaration (AD) stating
either of the following:
"The bananas in this consignment originate from an area recognized as free of Bactrocera invadens."
OR
"The bananas in this consignment have been produced in accordance with an APHIS approved systems approach and have
been inspected and found free of all life stages of Bactrocera invadens."

2 Fruits must be precleared and pretreated (Irradiated) with T105-a-2 in Ghana. The Preclearance Form 203 confirming
irradiation must be presented at the time of entry. CAUTION: Currently there is no preclearance program in Ghana.
3 Consignments of eggplant must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate from Ghana's national plant protection
organization with two additional declarations stating that:
“The fruit received irradiation treatment with 400 Gy as the minimum absorbed dose.”
“The fruit in this consignment was inspected and found free of Eutetranychus orientalis.”

4 Consignments of fruit must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate from Ghana's national plant protection organization
with an additional declaration stating that: “The fruit received irradiation treatment with 400 Gy as the minimum absorbed
dose.”

5 Pineapples are PROHIBITED ENTRY into Hawaii.
6 Because treatment is required, HOLD consignment and CONTACT PPQ through proper channels.
