16 Refer to Special Procedures for Precleared Clementines (Tangerines) from Spain for additional instructions. The
clementines must be precleared and the consignment must be accompanied by a PPQ Form 203 signed by the APHIS
inspector on site in Spain to validate foreign site preclearance. The clementines must be accompanied by a phytosanitary
certificate (PC) with an additional declaration (AD) stating that the fruit meets the conditions of the Government of Spain’s
Mediterranean fruit fly management program and applicable APHIS regulations.
17 Consignments of green tomatoes require an import permit and port of entry inspection. Consignments must be accompanied
by a Phytosanitary Certificate (PC) with an Additional Declaration (AD) stating EITHER of the following:
"Tomato fruit in this consignment originate from a pest-free area that meets the requirements of 7CFR 319.56-5, and are free of Tuta
absoluta."
OR
"Tomato fruit in this consignment have been produced in accordance with an APHIS approved systems approach, and have been
visually inspected and are free of Tuta absoluta." (See Federal Order #DA-2010-15,)
REFER to FAVIR for the "Inspection Aid for Tuta absoluta".
The green tomatoes are only admissible between September 15 through May 31. Any tomatoes shipped outside the growing
seasons are to be REFUSED ENTRY.
18 Because treatment is required, HOLD consignment and CONTACT PPQ through proper channels.
