5 Commercial consignments of papaya are admissible ONLY into the continental United States <strong>and</strong> Alaska are subject to<br />

inspection <strong>and</strong> must be accompanied by an import permit <strong>and</strong> a phytosanitary certificate declaring that "The papayas in this<br />

consignment were grown, packed, <strong>and</strong> shipped in accordance with the provisions of 7CFR 319.56."<br />

6 Pineapples are PROHIBITED ENTRY into Hawaii.<br />

7 Consignments of blueberries may or may not be precleared. If they are precleared, the consignment may enter all ports <strong>and</strong><br />

must be accompanied by a PPQ Form 203 signed by the APHIS inspector on site in Ecuador to validate foreign site<br />

preclearance. If the consignment is untreated or not precleared, it must receive T107-a-1 or T101-i-1-1 <strong>and</strong> may enter only:<br />

At ports located north of 39° latitude <strong>and</strong> east of 104° longitude.<br />

At ports that have approved cold treatment facilities. (Refer to the PPQ Treatment <strong>Manual</strong> for a list of current approved cold<br />

treatment facilities.)<br />

HOLD consignment <strong>and</strong> CONTACT PPQ through proper channels.<br />

Blueberries must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate issued by the national plant protection organization of<br />

Ecuador. No additional declaration is required.<br />

10 Each consignment must be accompanied by the original copy of the PPQ Form 203 completed <strong>and</strong> signed by the APHIS officer<br />

on site in Ecuador. The boxes in which the cantaloupe or watermelon is packed must be stamped with the name of the<br />

commodity followed by the words, “Not to be distributed in the following States or territories: AL, American Samoa, AZ, CA,<br />

FL, GA, GU, HI, LA, MS, NM, PR, SC, TX, VI.”<br />
