Reference List of Approved Fruits and Vegetables 24 Consignments of guava must: Be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate issued by Sanidad Vegetal with an additional declaration stating that: "The fruit in this consignment was treated by irradiation with a minimum absorbed dose of 400 Gy and inspected and found free of Oligonychus biharensis, Oligonychus psidium, Mycovellosiella psidii, Pestalotiopsis psidii, and Sphaceloma psidii." Be packed in insect proof boxes as prescribed in 7CFR 305.31, labeled with the facility name, city, country, Grower/Production Unit Code (PUC), Treatment Facility Code (TFC), Treatment Identification Number (TIN), Packing House Code (PHC), packing date, treatment date, and lot number (the information contained in the label is necessary for trace-back). Be in cartons that are marked or stamped with the words "Treated by irradiation" or "Treated with irradiation" and display the international radura symbol. Have the palatized cartons wrapped with polyethylene shrink wrap, net wrapping, or strapping (for consignments in sea containers only; not required for air shipments because integrity is maintained by the container itself). 25 T101-l-2 is a methyl bromide fumigation treatment conducted under vacuum. As of October, 2008, there are no APHIS-approved commercial vacuum chambers. The consignment must be reexported, destroyed, or returned to the country of origin. 26 Consignments of lemon and lime must be accompanied with a Phytosanitary Certificate issued by Sanidad Vegetal with an Additional Declaration stating “The citrus in this consignment were cleaned using normal packing house procedures.” [Note: The requirement for the Phytosanitary Certificate and Additional Declaration does not apply to precleared citrus accompanied with a PPQ Form 203.] Noncommercial consignments are admissible into the U.S. on a small scale for personal use either hand carried or in passenger baggage. The fruit must be free of leaves, stems, and foliage and is subject to CBP inspection. 27 Irradiated consignments of sweet lime (Citrus limettoides) must: Be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate issued by Sanidad Vegetal with two additional declarations stating that "The fruit in this shipment was treated by irradiation with a minimum absorbed dose of 150 Gy and was inspected in the packing house and found free of Brevipalpus californicus, B. phoenicus, Diaphorina citri, and Coniothecium scabrum." AND “The citrus in this consignment were cleaned using normal packing house procedures.” Be packed in insect proof boxes as prescribed in 7CFR 305.31, labeled with the facility name, city, country, Grower/Production Unit Code (PUC), Treatment Facility Code (TFC), Treatment Identification Number (TIN), Packing House Code (PHC), packing date, treatment date, and lot number (the information contained in the label is necessary for trace-back). Be in cartons that are marked or stamped with the words "Treated by irradiation" or "Treated with irradiation" and display the international radura symbol. Mango is not a NARP commodity into Nogales, AZ. REFER to the Officer Instructions in FAVIR for inspection procedures. 29 See Special Procedures for Okra to determine whether the consignment requires fumigation. 30 Phytosanitary Certificates are required. The Mexican state of origin must be listed on the phytosanitary certificate, as well as the following additional declaration: “The papayas in this consignment have been inspected and found to be free of Paracoccus marginatus.” If from Chiapas, see footnote 13 . 31 Snow peas (Pisum sativum subsp. sativum var. macrocarpon) are not eligible for the NARP. 32 Consignments of rambutan must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate issued by the national plant protection organization of Mexico stating that (1) the fruit is free from Coccus moestus, C. viridis, Dysmicoccus neobrevipes, Planococcus lilacinus, P. minor, and Pseudococcus landoi; and (2) all damaged fruit was removed from the consignment prior to export under the supervision of the national plant protection organization of Mexico.
