3 Ivy gourd (Coccinia gr<strong>and</strong>is) is PROHIBITED ENTRY into Hawaii.<br />

4 The garlic consignment must be accompanied by a <strong>Phytosanitary</strong> Certificate (PC) with an Additional Declaration (AD) attesting<br />

freedom from Brachycerus spp. or Dyspessa ulula. Consignment is admissible into the continental U.S. only <strong>and</strong> is subject to<br />

inspection. If inspection reveals the target pests (Brachycerus spp. or D. ulula), the required fumigation, T101-e-2, is a<br />

fumigation under vacuum. However, as of October 2008, there are no APHIS-approved commercial vacuum chambers in the<br />

US. Consignments with target pests must be reexported, destroyed, or returned to the country of origin.<br />

5 If treatment has not been completed before entry, HOLD the consignment <strong>and</strong> CONTACT PPQ through proper channels. The<br />

fruits or vegetables may arrive in the U.S. only:<br />

At ports located north of 39 o latitude <strong>and</strong> east of 104 o longitude<br />

At ports that have approved cold treatment facilities (refer to the PPQ Treatment <strong>Manual</strong> for a list of current approved cold<br />

treatment facilities<br />

6 T101-l-2 is a methyl bromide fumigation treatment conducted under vacuum. As of October, 2008, there are no<br />

APHIS-approved commercial vacuum chambers. The consignment must be reexported, destroyed, or returned to the country<br />

of origin.<br />

7 Commercial consignments of tomatoes require an import permit <strong>and</strong> port of entry inspection. Consignments must be<br />

accompanied by a <strong>Phytosanitary</strong> Certificate (PC) with an Additional Declaration (AD) stating EITHER of the following:<br />

"Tomato fruit in this consignment originate from a pest-free area that meets the requirements of 7CFR 319.56-5, <strong>and</strong> are free<br />

of Tuta absoluta."<br />

OR<br />

"Tomato fruit in this consignment have been produced in accordance with an APHIS approved systems approach, <strong>and</strong> have<br />

been visually inspected <strong>and</strong> are free of Tuta absoluta." (See Federal Order #DA-2010-15,)<br />

REFER to FAVIR for the "Inspection Aid for Tuta absoluta".<br />

8 Because treatment is required, HOLD consignment <strong>and</strong> CONTACT PPQ through proper channels.<br />
