List of Approved <strong>Fruits</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Vegetables</strong><br />

7 Limited to commercial consignments of oranges (Citrus sinensis); lemons (C. limonia <strong>and</strong> meyeri); limes (C. aurantifolia <strong>and</strong><br />

latifolia); m<strong>and</strong>arins, including satsumas, tangerines, tangors, <strong>and</strong> other fruits grown from this species or its hybrids (C.<br />

reticulata); <strong>and</strong> grapefruit (C. paradisi). Fruit must be from one of the following three horticultural districts:<br />

Riverina (The Riverina district of New South Wales, defined as the shire of Carrathool <strong>and</strong> the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area<br />

which is within the administrative boundaries of the city of Griffith <strong>and</strong> the shires of Leeton, Murrumbidgee <strong>and</strong> Narr<strong>and</strong>era )<br />

(see NOTE)<br />

Riverl<strong>and</strong> (The Riverl<strong>and</strong> district of South Australia, defined as the county of Hamley; the geographical subdivisions, called<br />

hundreds, of Bookpurnong, Cadell, Eba, Fisher, Forster, Gordon, Hay, Holder, Katarapko, Loveday, Markaranka, Morook, Murbko,<br />

Murtho, Nildottie, Paisley, Parcoola, Paringa, Pooginook, Pyap Ridley, Skurray, Stuart, <strong>and</strong> Walkerie; <strong>and</strong> the Parish of Onley<br />

of the Shire of Mildura, Victoria)<br />

Sunraysia (The Sunraysia district, defined as the shires of Balranald <strong>and</strong> Wentworth in New South Wales <strong>and</strong> the shires of<br />

Mildura, Swan Hill, Wakool, <strong>and</strong> Kerang, the cities of Mildura <strong>and</strong> Swan Hill, <strong>and</strong> the borough of Kerang in Victoria) (see NOTE)<br />

Consignment must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate issued by the Australian Quarantine Inspection Service.<br />

Certificate must contain two additional declarations (1) “Citrus fruit produced in (Riverina or Riverl<strong>and</strong>) in accordance with the<br />

conditions governing the entry of citrus from Australia.” (2) Navel oranges only must have the additional declaration, “The fruit<br />

in this consignment was subject to the appropriate phytosanitary measures to ensure the consignment is free of the light brown<br />

apple moth.”<br />

NOTE: Effective MARCH 29, 2011, the fruit fly free status of the Hillston area, the Griffith city, the Leeton shire, <strong>and</strong> the<br />

Narr<strong>and</strong>era shire in the Riverina district <strong>and</strong> the district of Sunraysia IS SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. If from the<br />

Hillston, Griffith, Leeton, or Narr<strong>and</strong>era areas of Riverina or from Sunraysia, REQUIRE T107-d, T107-d-2, or T107-d-3, <strong>and</strong> a<br />

second AD: “The fruit in this consignment is subject to in-transit cold treatment.”<br />

8 Each consignment of tomatoes must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate issued by the Australian Quarantine<br />

Inspection Service (AQIS) stating “These tomatoes were grown, packed, <strong>and</strong> shipped in accordance with the requirements of<br />

Sec. 319.56-28(e) of 7 CFR.” Tomatoes must arrive at the U.S. port of entry in insect proof cartons or cartons covered with<br />

an insect proof tarpaulin.<br />

9 Because treatment is required, HOLD consignment <strong>and</strong> CONTACT PPQ through proper channels.<br />

10 Ivy gourd (Coccinia gr<strong>and</strong>is) is PROHIBITED ENTRY into Hawaii.<br />

11 Passion fruit is PROHIBITED ENTRY into Hawaii.<br />

12 If the tomato consignment transits Australia or other fruit fly infested countries, they must be packed in insect proof cartons, or<br />

the pallets must be shrink-wrapped or netted to prevent contamination from fruit flies <strong>and</strong> hitch hiking pests.<br />
