5.4 Handwheel Measurement Direction P12
Description
5 - 10 en-938818/6
Category Measurements
Type 0 8-bit hexadecimal
No. of words 1
Used to define the handwheel measurement direction.
Principle
Only the four LSBs are significant.
UNI-TE request (see UNI-TE Protocol User's Manual)
The parameter can be modified by a UNI-TE request. A reset (CN reset) resets the CNC to the state specified by P3.
Bit 7
If the bit is a 0, the handwheel encoder is mounted in the forward direction (the measurement step output by the encoder
increases as the tool moves in the positive direction of the graduations).
If the bit is a 1, the encoder is reverse-mounted (the measurement decreases as the tool moves in the positive direction
of the graduations).
Example
Handwheel 4
@31
@30
@29
Handwheel 1
The handwheels at addresses @28 and @30 are equipped with reverse-mounted encoders.
