Word N2<br />

Sets the turnaround time (as a <strong>num</strong>ber of characters). The default value is $1.<br />

The turnaround time is the minimum time that a unit must wait before beginning to send a message to allow the remote<br />

unit to turn around (switch from transmission to reception). The minimum time that can be set is the time required to<br />

send one character.<br />

Sets the envelope delay time (as a <strong>num</strong>ber of characters). The default value is $5.<br />

If a received frame is recognised as incorrect, the master considers the end of the envelope delay time as the end of<br />

transmission.<br />

Word N4<br />

Sets the intercharacter gap time (as a <strong>num</strong>ber of characters). The default value is $5.<br />

During transmission of a frame, the characters must follow one another with a maximum gap between characters equal<br />

to the time required to send five characters.<br />

Sets the <strong>num</strong>ber of slaves accessible by the master on the network. This <strong>num</strong>ber is limited to 64 ($40).<br />

Specifies the <strong>num</strong>ber of the destination slave to which the unsolicited data are sent. The default value is $FF = no<br />

destination slave.<br />

Unsolicited data are messages which can be sent by:<br />

- A part programme (instruction $n). This instruction is described in detail in the programming <strong>manual</strong>, or<br />

- The operator from the panel in the Communication page, "Operator Messages" menu, "Network messages" page<br />

(refer to the Operator Manual).
