Use an oscilloscope to check the spindle speed on the cycle axis (see drawing).<br />

- Concerning the deceleration distance, if A is too high, the deceleration is too long and the spindle goes beyond the<br />

hole bottom dimension.<br />

- Check the spindle acceleration.<br />

- Check the acceleration induced on the axis when the spindle rotation reverses.<br />

- Check that the following error is cancelled when the speed has settled and upon reversal.<br />

! CAUTION<br />

The deceleration cannot be greater than allowed by the servo-drive ramp.<br />

Search for the optimum value of word 0 in P63 by gradually increasing the setting without exceeding 1000 until an<br />

instability appears. Enter the maximum value obtained divided by 2. The result should be less than 500.<br />

Check that the following error is small on reversal. If not, decrease the value of word 0 of P62.<br />
