Defines the <strong>CN</strong>C sampling period and the sampling period for the QVN cards.<br />

Defines the <strong>CN</strong>C sampling period (T) in μs. The default value is 5000 μs.<br />

The minimum sampling period accepted by the system is 2000 μs and the maximum is period is 20,000 μs. If the value<br />

of P50 is outside these limits, the system forces the limit values.<br />

Programme Parameter<br />

Programme <strong>parameter</strong> E41005 is used to read the value of the sampling period.<br />

Programme <strong>parameter</strong> E41007 gives the recommended value of the RTC in μs.<br />

Differences Related to the UC SII CPU<br />

The sampling period must be a multiple of 2 ms. The default value is 6 ms.<br />

If the sampling period is not a multiple of 2 ms, the following message appears when the system is initialised:<br />

WARNING : SAMPLING PERIOD<br />

IS NOT A MULTIPLE OF 2 ms<br />

The system operates normally, but the sampling period is rounded down to the next lower multiple of 2 ms.<br />

Word N1<br />

Defines the sampling period for all the QVN cards in the <strong>CN</strong>C rack. The range of permissible values is from 400 μs<br />

to 1000 μs in steps of 50 μs.<br />

Any value outside this range is limited to 400 μs or 1000 μs.<br />

! CAUTION<br />

The ratio of the <strong>CN</strong>C sampling period to the QVN sampling period must be an integer value.
