Meanwhile, CPT Morrison’s Headquarters Troop (<strong>the</strong> combat<br />

support activities so that <strong>the</strong> combat crews could concentrate<br />

on combat operations. Tak<strong>in</strong>g control of <strong>the</strong> prisoner of war<br />

compound, he established a medical aid station and began provid<strong>in</strong>g<br />

both <strong>the</strong> troopers and prisoners with food and water. In<br />

addition, his soldiers began mov<strong>in</strong>g ammunition and fuel <strong>to</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> vehicles on <strong>the</strong> fir<strong>in</strong>g l<strong>in</strong>e. <strong>The</strong> adm<strong>in</strong>istrative-logistics center,<br />

or ALOC, was set up and later that even<strong>in</strong>g assumed <strong>the</strong><br />

duties and responsibilities of <strong>the</strong> squadron command post<br />

with<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> defensive perimeter. 39 By 1830, CPT Pope reported<br />

that most of <strong>the</strong> fight<strong>in</strong>g <strong>to</strong> his south had died down, and he<br />

Impatiently, <strong>the</strong> <strong>1st</strong> Infantry Division called back <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> VII<br />
