3D position mode and collected a m<strong>in</strong>imum <strong>of</strong> 60 po<strong>in</strong>ts at each acquired location.<br />

Trimble plann<strong>in</strong>g s<strong>of</strong>tware was used to determ<strong>in</strong>e <strong>the</strong> most advantageous satellite<br />

position <strong>in</strong>formation and appropriate duration and optimal times <strong>of</strong> data collection. This<br />

feature was important because satellite geometry and coverage was poor dur<strong>in</strong>g certa<strong>in</strong><br />

times <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> day when GPS activities were planned, and modification to <strong>the</strong> schedule was<br />

made to allow for collection dur<strong>in</strong>g peak satellite coverage times. Real time corrected<br />

GPS location data are not always available for <strong>the</strong> site survey area, so differential<br />
