Level II is composed <strong>of</strong> s<strong>of</strong>t, dark brown to dark grey sandy loam (Munsell<br />

7.5YR3/2) (see NRCS 2006). Gravel is slightly more abundant than <strong>in</strong> Level I as are<br />

ceramic sherds, but <strong>the</strong>y are still small and eroded. Level III is a yellowish brown sandy<br />

loam (Munsell 7.5YR4/3) that conta<strong>in</strong>s less gravel but significantly more ceramic<br />

material that is generally larger and better preserved. The density and compaction <strong>of</strong><br />
