a f<strong>in</strong>e tempered paste and was steep-sided with a narrow rim border. The tripod legs <strong>of</strong><br />

both vessels are very similar to those on Vessel 5 from Offer<strong>in</strong>g V. Figure 5.43 conta<strong>in</strong>s<br />

two views <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>fer<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> situ taken dur<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong>ir excavation. In <strong>the</strong> photograph on <strong>the</strong><br />

left, <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>trusional cavity <strong>in</strong>to <strong>the</strong> Formative period layers and <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>fer<strong>in</strong>g’s placement<br />

at <strong>the</strong> bottom can be seen. Figure 5.44 shows a partial reconstruction <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> upper vessel.<br />
