The total station was used to collect X, Y, and Z coord<strong>in</strong>ate po<strong>in</strong>ts, which were<br />

imported us<strong>in</strong>g Trimble Geomatic Office. Terramodel S<strong>of</strong>tware was used to process those<br />

data to produce a variety <strong>of</strong> map types. Figure 4.6 illustrates two examples; on <strong>the</strong> right is<br />

a po<strong>in</strong>t coverage map overla<strong>in</strong> on <strong>the</strong> contours, and on <strong>the</strong> left is a standard topographical<br />

map with elevation <strong>in</strong>terval l<strong>in</strong>es. Once <strong>the</strong> contour data are processed, topographic<br />

Digital Terra<strong>in</strong> Models can be developed us<strong>in</strong>g Terramodel 3D Visualizer s<strong>of</strong>tware.<br />

Figure 4.7 displays images captured from oblique perspectives <strong>in</strong> a three dimensional<br />

<strong>in</strong>teractive model <strong>of</strong> El Marquesillo. Data were also exported <strong>in</strong>to an ArcView shapefile<br />

format for use <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> ArcGIS s<strong>of</strong>tware platform to comb<strong>in</strong>e <strong>the</strong> site-level spatial data with<br />

o<strong>the</strong>r regional survey data.<br />
