1. Summary and Recommendation<br />

This paper summarises the main issues and developments in the Programme since the previous report.<br />

There are no items for decision.<br />

The Partnership <strong>Board</strong> is recommended to:<br />

2. Service Redesign Activity<br />

2.1 SMOCS Update<br />

Owing to the cancellation of the Clinical Group in January, approval of the revised Acute Care and<br />

Staying Healthy SMOCS documents is being pursued by email. The majority of members have<br />

confirmed their approval of the documents, with one amendment to the Staying Healthy document and<br />

two suggested changes to the Acute Care SMOCS being progressed. It is anticipated that the final<br />

version of the document will be agreed by the end of January <strong>2010</strong>.<br />

A meeting is being organised to enable the commissioning issues raised in relation to the Mental Health<br />

SMOCS to be understood and changes to the document agreed. It is likely that this document will be represented<br />

to the Clinical Group in March for final sign off.<br />

The current status, detailed below, remains unchanged:<br />

It was agreed to present the SMOCS reports to <strong>Sandwell</strong> and HoBt PCT PECs to note and sign up, the<br />
