4. About Giving Birth<br />

One of the questions in the questionnaire asked people to choose one option (from a list of 5,<br />

with the option for them to write in another choice) to indicate their preferences for giving<br />

birth.<br />

The graph below presents an analysis of their choices shown against corresponding PCT area. A<br />

full list of postcodes and tables showing preference against ethnicity can be found at appendix<br />

4.<br />

Comments about both home births and midwife-led birth centres can be found on the following<br />

pages, along with factors that may influence these choices that were identified through both<br />

questionnaire comments and focus groups.<br />
